No feuds within SP, Akhilesh to become next CM : Mulayam Singh Yadav

At a press conference in Lucknow, when infighting within the Samajwadi Party was at its peak, MP and close confidante of Mulayam Singh Yadav Amar Singh said: "One leader who can not even speak proper Hindi is projecting himself as a big neta and is calling the shots in Samajwadi Party. "Akhilesh will be the next Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh", he told reporters again in New Delhi.

Campaigning for polls is in full swing in UP with Akhilesh addressing six rallies in Sitapur on Monday.

Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi addressed rallies at Shamli, Muzaffarnagar and Iglas and said the alliance with SP "mirrors the bright future of UP". The Congress and SP workers were stunned.

Naidu said this after meeting Chief Election Commissioner Nasim Zaidi here, along with Parliamentary Affairs Minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi and other delegates.

Union Water Resources Minister Uma Bharati, in a statement issued by the BJP state unit, said she was pained at Aparna's comments. It was the SP Government that announced a financial aid of Rs 2 lakh for the families of such people. Now, they are not telling us how much black money.

On the SP-Congress poll alliance, the Chief Minister said, "It has accelerated the pace of SP's cycle.We did not act like a miser friend".

Explaining the nitty gritty of the alliance, Yadav said that the SP Government during its five year tenure accelerated development in the State.

"The Samajwadi Party is completely capable of fighting elections alone. It's unfortunate that SP is talking about withdrawing reservation system", senior BJP leaders Uma Bharti and Bhupendra Yadav said here.
