Eden Hazard spirit praised by Chelsea manager Antonio Conte

It has been a remarkable first season so far for Antonio Conte following his appointment at Chelsea last summer.

The forward admirably handled intense attention from Manchester United's defence during their 1-0 victory on Monday, continuing to attack with confidence and eventually give Chelsea full control.

There's certainly a wealth to choose from, considering the number of players who've been caught up in Chelsea's globe-spanning loan operation in recent years, so we asked Blues fans earlier this week to vote for which former stars they'd like to see Conte re-sign this summer.

The Blues are now top of the Premier League by 10 points with just 11 games left to play.

Eden Hazard will not be cowed by any team looking to use unfair means to shackle him, says Chelsea manager Antonio Conte.

"I think he's available but, before Stoke it's important to check a couple of situations".

"We've got good options at the moment and sometimes you have to be fair to the guys who have helped you get positive results, albeit I will always try to pick a team that I feel is best capable of winning a match".

"Sometimes it can happen that you think one thing and then, in the future, something else happens. But, for me, it's a lack of respect if I don't work with my players, if I don't pay attention to my players.in the same way for a champion or a young player". "For me, they are Chelsea players".

Terry was linked with a handful of January moves, but he stayed on as a Chelsea his back-up with a fifth Premier League winner's medal growing increasingly clearer on the horizon.

"But I'm not anxious about this because Eden is very strong physically, and he's showed me he's able to play in this league".
