After the second recall, Samsung chose to discontinue production of the Note 7. Because the only problem with the smartphones were the batteries, Reuters reported speculation had abounded that Samsung would sell refurbished Galaxy Note 7s to recoup some of its losses.
The move was already made by Samsung in the United States starting December of past year, with the update that disables charging for the Galaxy Note 7 rolled out in different dates by the carriers operating the country. We also have additional confirmation that the battery of the S8 is going to be 3000mAh, though the battery capacity of the S8+ is still unknown, though speculated to be 3,500mAh. To brings back its past glory, Samsung will add some of the standout features to make sure the Galaxy S8 gets noticed by Apple fanboys.
Samsung, which released more teasers this week, plans to display the new smartphone at 4,000 locations throughout its home market starting April 1.
We will give you more clarity on the specifications once the phone is launched. A new version of the Gear VR headset is expected to be released alongside the Galaxy S8 and S8+.
Furthermore, the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is said to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor. As for the remaining Note 7s out in the wild, Samsung has issued a series of software updates aimed at disabling them, the most recent of which came out last week.
But Jan Dawson of Jackdaw Research said the decision "feels like a huge misstep" for Samsung as it readies a launch of its latest flagship handset this week.
The Samsung Galaxy S8 is expected to launch with a radical new design with a 21:9 aspect ratio display and an edge to edge design with two edges on either side. The leak claims that the smartphone will use a combination of the fingerprint scanner, Iris scanner as well as facial detection for user verification in services like Samsung Pay. For each new rendition, Samsung has fleshed out the six iconic notes within a different musical genre.
