Akshay Kumar - Shah Rukh Khan to clash this Independence day weekend

While SRK's film's release date was announced when Salman Khan shared the first look of the film, last year, Akshay's movie's release has been confirmed today by the makers. A few weeks after Akshay announced the film on Twitter, Shah Rukh Khan announced that his yet-untitled film starring Anushka Sharma will also release on the same date. All his films past year scored over Rs. 100 crore which even made him earn more than Salman Khan despite the latter giving a Rs. 300 crore film with Sultan. Thus, it is clear that SRK will not be having a solo release in August.

Actress Anushka Sharma, who has also just produced her second film Phillauri, in which she stars, opened up about how she finds it hard to handle stardom. Clearly, he is the darling of the box office presently.

Shah Rukh Khan is one such actor who is simply ideal in his art of works.

Previously "Toilet: Ek Prem Katha" was scheduled to release on June, but due to the delay in post-production work, the date shifted to August. While Raees was very successful, Dilwale failed to make much of a mark at the box office. Shah Rukh's Imtiaz Ali directed movie has been extravagantly shot at many outdoor locations which anyway spikes the budget. Since the investment is large, similar gains are expected which may not be a possibility. He knows what his fans want and he has delivered.

Toilet - Ek Prem Katha is produced by Grazing Goat Pictures along with FridayFilmworks and Kriarj Entertainment. "And, as the title suggests, the film is also a love story". Kaabil made a lifetime earning of Rs103.84 crore in the domestic market, while Raees collected Rs 137.52 crore at the Indian box office. There's a certain section of the audience who enjoys his brand of cinema which may not be applicable to all. Shah Rukh's film will definitely not have any such edge.
