Microsoft's Project Scorpio confirmed for this week

Although Eurogamer and Digital Foundry did not say what Project Scorpio details they would publish, tech news website Windows Central said that the report would likely focus on the gaming console's technical specifications.

A noteworthy gaming outlet as of late approached Microsoft to investigate Project Scorpio's specs, before the scheduled revealing of one of the most awaited gadgets for gamers. Because of this, the predominant line of reasoning is that this reveal will be entirely about the hardware and components inside the Scorpio. The great news here is, it is reported that each game will hit true 4K, something Sony is finding hard to accomplish with its new console, the PlayStation 4 Pro. Meanwhile, the list of 3P games is believed to include titles such as "Battlefront 2" and the upcoming "Red Dead Redemption 2". We will see about that.

The 4K gaming news comes from marketing materials that include titles Microsoft wants to use to exemplify Scorpio's wonderful six-teraflops computer power along with its 4K capabilities.

We already know that Scorpio boasts 6 teraflops of performance, including 320 GB/s memory bandwidth and 8 CPU cores.

When Will the Xbox Scorpio Be Released? Microsoft plans to showcase Project Scorpio's True-4K capabilities and six-teraflops of power with first-party titles led by Forza 7. The new console revision to the Xbox One is also meant to bring 4K and virtual reality support to Xbox owners.

The Redmond company announced at the Game Developers Conference in San Francisco earlier this year that mixed reality content would be coming to the Xbox One and Project Scorpio next year.

Also unconfirmed is the speculation DF witnessed Forza Motorsport 7 running at 4K resolution in order to "exemplify the power of the next Xbox". According to Insider Shinobi602, "Scorpion things next week, yes".

Phil Spencer said last week that first-party games were crucial for Project Scorpio launch.
