The preseason will kick off between August 17-21 against the New Orleans Saints at First Energy Stadium before the play the final 2 games on the road. The New Orleans Saints have announced their opponents for their four 2017 preseason contests, paving the way for just one step closer to football returning. The August 21 game will be nationally televised on Monday Night Football, giving the football world a first look at presumptive No. 1 overall pick Myles Garrett and the rest of the ample Browns rookie class. New Orleans defeated Cleveland in the 1968 preseason and lost to them in a 1982 exhibition.
The Saints will then head to the Chargers and their new home of Los Angeles. It is the two teams' first meeting since 2014, a 26-24 home win for the Browns. New Orleans defeated the then San Diego Chargers 35-34 previous year on the road. The Chargers lead the all-time preseason series 4-2.
In week 1 of the preseason, the Saints will travel to Cleveland. In weeks three and four of the exhibition season the Saints will play the Houston Texans in the Super Dome, followed by the Baltimore Ravens.
