Nintendo Switch Advertised in New GameStop Weekly Ad

One of the best games on the Nintendo Wii U is Mario Kart 8, released in 2014.

Remember that you can always add your reasons why in our comments section.

Joining a strong line-up of Nintendo Switch titles including Snipperclips - Cut it out, together! Shine Thief is probably my favorite mode in the game. Plus, battle mode has been revamped and includes Balloon Battle and Bob-omb Blast, with all-new courses such as Urchin Underpass and Battle Stadium, and returning ones like (GCN) Luigi's Mansion and (SNES) Battle Course 1 from Super Mario Kart on the Super Nintendo Entertainment System.

Weirdly this isn't the only unfathomable controller problem that's plagued Mario Kart 8 Deluxe before launch. Whether racing with family on the TV in the living room, playing a quick race in the park with friends, or visiting a friend's place and playing online together, Nintendo Switch lets players enjoy Mario Kart in more ways than ever before.

Scott Nygaard, senior vice president, Merchandising, Target, had the following to say about the company's Mario Kart extravaganza: "Experience counts -- it's what keeps guests coming in and coming back to our stores". This made me feel like I was always in the race, and the flawless two item pickup could take me from 8th into 1st. Jonathan noted that Mario Kart 8 doesn't reinvent any wheel, but it, like almost every Mario Kart that came before it, was a wonderful multiplayer kart racer that would be enjoyed by fans for years to come. The new Coin Runners mode, for example, has competitors racing around the open course to collect the most coins.

"The weird thing is that, in two-player split screen Wireless Play mode, the controller options become more limited", explains Polygon. In Mario Kart 8 Deluxe you can play as an Inkling boy or an Inkling girl.

Target is promoting this week's launch of "Mario Kart 8" for Nintendo Switch with an in-store experience recreating the game.

Some 650 USA locations are taking part in the promotion, which takes place as Mario Kart 8 makes the jump from the old Nintendo Wii U onto the new Nintendo Switch.

Overall, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is an excellent package.

And while the game is excellent in that it allows up to two players to share a single Switch screen while competing with up to 8 friends in Wireless Play Mode, there is a rather odd limitation on what controllers players can and can't use.
