Millions of Americans suffer from a mental health condition

"There's no question that mental health in New Zealand is a subject that is now top of mind when Kiwis are talking about serious stuff that matters". Engaging people in conversations about mental illness is important at every stage of recovery. This event is run under the Mood Disorders Society of Canada, which has evolved to become one of Canada's best connected mental health non-government organizations.

At Ontario's colleges, the number of students with mental-health issues has increased 110 per cent over the past five years.

"Mental health affects everyone; Approximately 1 in 5 Americans experience a mental health issue - that's about 180,000 people in Milwaukee County who are struggling with mental illness", says Milwaukee County Executive Chris Abele. "Records are never shared without the consent of a student, and mental health issues are not arbitrarily discussed".

"I believe it's more common for you to see someone with a panic attack than someone with a heart attack", said Scout Young of Vandergrift, who took classes to help adults and children.

"A lot of us have struggles that may range from the usual stress to mental health issues, and that is a part of our world", Saldana said "We hope to continue those kind of initiatives to try to normalize the idea that nobody goes through life ideal".

The toolkit is meant to teach and inspire people to take an active role in their mental health and well-being, and to support others.

Services such as in-school counsellors and other mental health services were found to be cut back as purse strings were increasingly tightened due to the government reportedly providing inadequate funding for education.
