IIT JEE Advanced Results 2017 declared, Chandigarh boy gets AIR 1

Almost 1.7 lakh registered and appeared for the exam held on May 21 this year. Last year, six rounds were conducted instead of the usual two but 73 of 9,660 seats remained vacant. A total of 1,59,540 candidates (around 1.29 lakh boys and around 29,000 girls) appeared for the JEE (Advanced).

Other universities like the Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology, Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research (IISERs), and Indian Institute of Science also use the score obtained in JEE Advanced as the basis for admission.
